The topic of Christians using deadly force to protect themselves and their property come up several times per year. I try to cover it at least once a year. It seems despite how many times it gets covered it is always a pertinent topic. I pray something is said today that edifies and informs.

How many times have we had a project that needed done but we have been intimidated at its scope to the point where we procrastinate. I heard a neat quote, you don't have to be great to start but you do have to start to be great. Today the episode is about small beginnings and large destinations. I hope someting said in the episode edifies and informs.

This topic is always pertinent and filled with emotion. Aaron and I are happy to have Todd back this week talking about such an emotionally charger issue. I pray we honor God and the ones who have questions about the topic. Forewarning, you will no doubt hear things that will challenge you. Please consider what we say and compare it honestly with Scripture.

about judging and the Bible s6e35

The topic of judging is a pertinent topic, it seems, no matter how much you cover it. One reason I enjoy discussing it is because of the lively chat in the livestream. This topic seems to resonate with folk. It is, in my opinion, one of the easiest and most difficulty of Bible topics at the same time. I know you will be edified by this episode. A friend of mine and the show wrote an article we'll be looking at today. He did a good job on explaining the topic.

The inspiration for this episode came from a recent episode of Cogitations which was a rerun of an episode of the We Talk Truth podcast that no longer airs. We were talking about authority and how Paul and Peter appealed to two different authorities in their respective sermons recorded in Acts 2 and 17.
This article is a good companion to this subject: https:https://open.substack.com/pub/christianitynow/p/ancient-wisdom-modern-insight?r=2q6w2w&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web/open.substack.com/.../ancient-wisdom-modern...
Here is the article I wrote from the main idea of this episode:

I hope you enjoy this rerun episode. This is from about 4 or 5 years ago. Fun times.
Jesus is in authority. In this episode of We Talk Truth Aaron Dodson, Brock Kendal, and Tony Brewer discuss how that Jesus is the authority today.

In the beginning to the recording here there is some issue with the sound. It does not last. I hope this doesn't discourage you fro listening to the whole show.
We have been given a question by one of our listeners. It touches on the validity of the Holy Roman Catholic Church. I pray you will tune in and take a listen. This is sure to be a lively topic. We also have a guest, Todd Clippard. We pray someting is said that deifies and informs.
