I had an interesting conversation in a message thread on substack. A fellow was taking an odd position from, what appears to me to be, a misunderstanding about honoring father and mother. Today we'll see if we can nail down an objective definition from the Bible.

A question that is always batted around is baptismal formula, do we have to say and do certain things in order for the baptism to be valid? Some people might eschew all formality and ritual that the act looks unrecognizable from its first century origin and others would be so formal and ritualistic that it is nigh on impossible to do it correctly. It is the oddest thing to be accused of antisemitism because of reading a verse in the New Testament of Jesus, the Christ. Today we will look at whom the Bible teaches is responsible for the death of Jesus. Is it antisemitic to make the claim that the Jews killed Jesus?
