Yes, I do believe that if you ignore the possession, don‘t allow the victims to be referred to as ”victims”, and ignore the fact that he was acting as part of a private paramilitary group without state sanction: this is pretty clearly self defence. It is also true that if you ignore Osama Bin Laden‘s connection to al Qaeda, his connections to the Taliban, and disallow discussion of ”terrorism”: was clearly just a religious leader. I‘m not surprised at all that Rittenhouse was found innocent.
